A Space to be Heard

Healing can feel like intimidating, uncharted territory. Rocky terrain, rivers to traverse, valleys to cross. I'm here to take that journey with you, guiding you along the way. You are the one holding the map. Your story is unique to you. You are the expert on your life. I'm here to help you find your voice and tell your story. On your terms.

About

I am a licensed mental health counselor with advanced certification in grief counseling. I have over 15 years experience working with adolescents and adults. My pronouns are she/her. I believe in creating a space where you can feel affirmed in being your authentic self. Everyone's experiences are different and my approach will be tailored to meet your unique needs. My approach is trauma informed, honoring our experiences and the ways they shape how we see and interact with our world. My journey with grief and loss is not much different than your own. Loss takes many forms. It can be a loved one dying, divorce or relationships ending, leaving communities we were deeply connected to, a major change in your identity, infertility, changing jobs, the loss of a beloved pet or even our hopes and dreams not working out how we expected. We all experience loss. Sometimes it's expected, sometimes it's not; it can knock the wind out of us. Grief is not something that is wrong with us, it's something we experience. Grief manifests in a spectrum of ways that can be confusing and complicated to describe. My goal is help you find a way to live around your grief, hold space for your pain, join in your mourning and find a life worth living. Some areas of special interest also include supporting the mental health needs of fellow therapists, supporting the LGBQIA+ community, caregiver burnout, disenfranchised loss, pet loss, anxiety disorders and spousal/partner loss. I look forward to our work together! There is hope. If you or a loved one are in distress right now because of mental health or substance use and want to talk, please call or text the National Lifeline at 988 or chat 988lifeline.org.
